USP <797> revisions available on USP website
The USP Sterile Compounding Expert Committee (SCC) has completed the review and revision of USP chapter <797>. The revised chapter has been posted on USP's Web site as a Revision Bulletin to allow practitioners the opportunity to review the revisions before it becomes official on June 1, 2008. After the effective date, all PCAB-Accredited pharmacies and applicants for PCAB Accreditation will be required to comply with these revisions. Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation: A How-to Manual
Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB) accreditation affords compounding pharmacists an unparalleled opportunity to demonstrate superior quality and safety in their compounding practices. And yet, since PCAB was founded in 2004, only a modest number of pharmacies across the nation have achieved accreditation. Other pharmacies have applied for accreditation but have not completed the process. Now, with Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation: A How-To Manual, published by the American Pharmacists Association, there’s no longer reason to wait. For more information or to order, click here.
